National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) LINK
NCKU is located in Tainan City in southern Taiwan. It is within the walking distance to the Tainan Railway Station, offering convenient transportation. It is one of the most spacious and beautiful university campuses in Taiwan. NCKU was established in 1931 as Tainan Technical College and finally reformed as National Cheng Kung University in 1971. With more than 20,000 students and nine colleges, NCKU is one of the leading institutions for higher education in Taiwan, and chosen by the Ministry of Education as one of the seven universities in Taiwan for the Aim for the Top University Project, which is similar to Top Global University Project in Japan.

How to get to Tainan City?

From 台北松山機場 Taipei Songshan Airport  (connected to Haneda Airport from Japan)
1.  Move to Taipei Main Station by the MRT subway (20 min, 25 NTD)
2.  Take Taiwan High Speed Rail Shinkansen to Tainan HSR Station (2 hr, 1350 NTD)
3.  Transfer to the Taiwan Railways conventional line and get off at Tainan Station (30 min, 25 NTD)

From 桃園國際機場 Taoyuan International Airport  (connected to many airports in Japan)
1.  Move to Taiwan High Speed Rail Station by the MRT subway (20 min, 35 NTD)
2.  Take HSR Shinkansen to Tainan HSR Station (1.5 hr, 1190 NTD)
3.  Transfer to the Taiwan Railways conventional line and get off at Tainan Station (30 min, 25 NTD)

From 台南機場 Tainan Airport  (connected to Kansai International Airport on Tue and Fri)
1.  Take a taxi to the city area (about 15 min, 200 NTD)
2.  Or use a bus to Tainan Station (25 min, 18 NTD for #5 line; 1 hr, 41 NTD for #3 red line)*
*Note that you cannot get on the free shuttle bus of Taiwan High Speed Rail.

From 高雄國際機場 Kaohsiung International Airport  (connected to New Chitose, Narita, Kansai, Kumamoto, and Naha airports from Japan)
1.  Move to Kaohsiung Main Station by the MRT subway (20 min, 35 NTD)
2.  Take the Taiwan Railways conventional line and get off at Tainan Station

(1 hr, 38 NTD for local train; 35 min, 106 NTD for limited express)
